A weekend with Big Bass Blast

I went into Big Bass Blast expecting a throwaway tapper and came out mildly obsessed. The first thing that hits you is how bright and cheerful everything is: the fish, the reels, the little splashes of animation every time you tap. It's the visual equivalent of a good morning.

The core loop is timing-based. You watch, you tap, and the game rewards clean rhythm with satisfying feedback. There's no complicated menu to learn and nothing that needs two thumbs, so it's genuinely a game you can play with one hand on a crowded bus.

Performance was solid across our test phones, even the older one. The only note I'd make is that the busier animated moments warm the phone up a little and nudge the battery, so it's more of a short-burst game than a marathon.

If you want something to fill five spare minutes without demanding a tutorial or a strategy guide, Big Bass Blast nails it. I kept telling myself 'one more round' far longer than I'd admit.
